Could be a few things, in no particular order:
Sway bar link
Sway bar bushing (more of a clunk/thud noise)
Upper strut mount - aftermarket parts are notorious for this. What brand was installed? The noise from these sound like it's inside the car, because it is.
Lateral control arm bushings; there are two.

Do you know if only the struts were replaced? Or the complete strut assembly? The strut mounts I'm talking about may or may not have been replaced if they did not use assemblies.

Rattle usually means sway bar link - easy and cheap DIY repair.

Double check the spare tire jack isn't loose. It's usually located on the right side of the trunk behind the wheel well.

You can check on a few things.
Sway bar link or bushing (connects from sway bar to strut) = use a rubber mallet and moderately pound the sway bar and/or the end links. If you hear a clunk noise, you've isolated the issue to the link or sway bar. This can be done while suspension is loaded (on ramp or on ground) or unloaded. Bad bushings would be able to be determined if the suspension is unloaded and the entire sway bar can be moved around to have a 'clunk' feel. You can also just 'sway' the car left and right vigorously to see if you hear the 'clunk', but this won't give you a really good indication if it is links or bushing since everything is moving with the chassis.
Strut mount/strut = try press down on the trunk or on the lower part of the trunk w/ lid up (careful of lid coming down on your head!). If you hear the clunking while vigorously trying to shake the car, could be the strut or/and strut mount. Might need to torque the strut nut if its making noise or replacing the bad parts.
Rearward Lateral link = lift rear of the car up, uploaded on jackstands. Check for wheel play 9 and 3 oclock. If you do, you got bad lateral links. Also tire wear will be noticeable in the rear and 'cross wind' feel while driving on rather smooth roads.
